Lions defeat Williamsburg 47-7

Chris Sheldon and Bill Gantzer called the action when the Lions defeated Williamsburg 47-7 Friday night.

Andrew Nealan scored on runs of 70 and 17 yards and gained 11 yards and Garrett Myers gained 67 yards in 5 carries, including touchdown runs of 51 and 1 yards, and passed for another touchdown as the Lions scored all of their points in the first half.

Mike Maupin also went over the century mark rushing with 106 yards and a 45-yard TD.

Williamsburg's only score came against a combined JV-freshman squad.

The varsity defense was led by Andy Case and Danny Scholz with 9 tackles each.

Mike Mazzaro recorded three interceptions and also caught a 32-yard TD pass from Myers.

The Lions go on the road for consecutive Fridays at Clermont Northeastern and Batavia before returning home for Homecoming.
